THE PLAYS:

1.     Sasha, Phone Home

   (Саша, позвони домой)

Based on a true-life experience, Sasha Phone Home, set in 2022, explores the poignant moment when Sasha’s adoring mother in Moscow realizes that her son, a poet, is not on a training mission, but rather deep in the pangs of war in Ukraine.

2.    Our Lady of Zarvanytsia

    (Зарваницька Богородиця)

With its origins in another war story, this play, set in 2023, finds Sasha lost in the  Ukrainian town of Zarvanytsia, ironically home to both a religious shrine, and a nuclear power plant. Along the way, he encounters mystical sprits,  ghosts,  and  hallucinations. Taking refuge in Our Lady’s shrine, he meets three unique Ukrainian women. When the town  comes under attack, Sasha must decide to what actions he must take as he faces his destiny
